🇮🇳 Teacher eligibility

CTET eligibility is not a teaching appointment.

This guide focuses on CBSE's actual CTET notices, teacher-qualification rules and the practical separation between registration, allocated city, admit card and school recruitment.

Check the exam edition, paper and official public notices first.

The exam organizer is CBSE. NCTE and the applicable employment authority issue different rules that must not be confused.

Know which authority makes the rule

The Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act and NCTE regulations form the legal context for minimum teacher qualifications; CTET is an examination administered by CBSE.

A successful CTET result does not itself guarantee a government school post. Hiring eligibility depends on the appointing body's actual vacancy notice.

We do not project a 2027 CTET date until CBSE publishes it. Other Indian examinations are added one by one after official evidence review.
